Rome, 1 December 2017: from Lazio to the world. The pharmaceutical company IBI Lorenzini, chaired by Camilla Borghese Khevenhüller, has been awarded the “100 Italian Excellences” award, established by editor Riccardo Dell’Anna as a recognition for those companies and personalities that with their work and their skills contribute to the growth of the Made in Italy around the world. The official awarding ceremony took place at Palazzo Montecitorio, Rome, in the presence of national institutions, local bodies, universities and associations, and under the patronage of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Strongly rooted in the Italian region of Aprilia, IBI Lorenzini, still a family-run company under a female leadership, has a centennial scientific tradition in the sector of the production of antibiotics, sterile penicillin, and injectable drugs. Thanks to its high level of professional know-how and the continuous commitment towards innovation and quality, the company exports 2/3 of its own turnover all over the world, from Europe to Asia, From America to Australia.
“We are a global company, but with a decidedly local DNA,” says Camilla Borghese Khevenhüller, President of IBI Lorenzini “from which still today we draw our strength to compete all over the world, with 100 years of experience, but also with our wealth of creativity and our spasmodic attention to our stakeholders. If there is a secret for success, may be is to always aim at quality and invest in continuous innovation. This has brought us to strongly commit to the challenge of Industry 4.0 and implement, among the firsts in Italy, drug tracking systems to fight the threat of counterfeited drugs.
