13 October 2017
Rome, October 13th 2017 - Inauguration at Explora on October 13th the new "We Economize: earn and save, donate and invest, economy has never been so fun!" , the permanent game path on economic education, created by the Children's Museum in collaboration with the Foundation for Financial Education and Saving, Bnl Group Bnp Paribas, Ibi Lorenzini, Toyota Motor Italia.
The game path, developed today in 10 interactive stations, 2.0 evolution of the previous space dedicated to the responsible use of money that has involved over 450,000 children since 2009, was created with the aim of raising awareness among families and schools on the importance of learning in school age of economic and financial subjects, thanks to a playful approach based on learning by doing which, through simulations of work related to Research and Development, Sustainable Mobility and Environment, Innovation and Digital Technologies, Citizenship and Society, helps gain knowledge on the management of gain-spending-saving process.
"The relationship of the youngest with money - explains Giovanna Boggio Robutti of the Foundation for Financial Education and Saving - it shows how they are constantly exposed to the use of material goods and financial transactions. Without proper explanation and knowledge of the basic elements, there is a high risk of growth without properly understanding its use and value. Our way of thinking about the diffusion of financial education is based on a value approach that cannot be disregarded, especially for children, from direct experience in concrete situations ".
“As a socially responsible company “ - stated Andrea Munari , BNL Managing Director and Head of all the BNP Paribas Group activities in Italy - “the Bank is also involved in economic and financial education and training initiatives, to accompany the youngest to discover the concept of money and of its informed use and to increase, in the largest, knowledge and awareness in the choices of savings and investment. In this sense BNL, for about 10 years, has gained a lengthy experience with the EduCare initiative: over 400 thousand people, including businesses, individuals, families and primary school pupils, have been involved in about 6000 seminars and ad hoc events.
"Antibiotics are important drugs, used to treat infections caused by bacteria, and it is appropriate that the antibiotic is identified in a specific way with respect to the infection to be treated. An incorrect use of antibiotics - explains the President of IBI Lorenzini, Camilla Borghese Khevenhüller - can lead to the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance. Every year, resistant bacteria cause about 50 thousand deaths and there is fear of a return to the pre-antibiotic era. This is why it is essential to teach children, but also parents and teachers who accompany them in this experience, what are the good and harmful bacteria and make them aware, through play, of the correct use of antibiotics ".
"Toyota is committed to spreading a concept of sustainable mobility increasingly aimed at new generations - says Andrea Carlucci, CEO Toyota Motor Italia - Today's children represent our future, they are attentive to change, they learn it and they do it just in a nutshell time. The hybrid, which has always represented our biggest challenge with which we have revolutionized the way of driving, becomes for them a real way of life, no longer a technology applied to a car, but the conscious choice and responsible for contributing with his actions to the welfare of the planet. Hybrid is the inevitable choice, the car they will drive when they become adults".
From Saturday, October 14, the game path will be usable by families and schools visiting the Museum, for an experience that combines curiosity, fun and experimentation.

"The realization of the new Economiamo space, version 2.0 of the previous one, with 10 interactive stations, looks to the future. Explora's mission has always been to talk to children, families and schools, encouraging the experimentation of themes, which at times may seem far from the world of childhood. To do this it is necessary to recognize in children the absolute value of future users of the Planet; It is therefore important to support them, from a young age, in familiarizing with Economic Education, sensitizing them to Sustainable Mobility, encouraging them in discovering Research and Development, bringing them closer to new technologies: all through the playful methodology of learning by doing, which allows learn informally. The path was entirely realized by Explora, through the support of the Foundation for Financial Education and Saving , BNL Group BNP Paribas , Ibi Lorenzini and Toyota Motor Italia, which together with the Children's Museum believed in this challenge "- declared Patrizia Tomasich, President of Explora.
