IBI has long experience in traditional formulations and in innovative delivery systems, based on nano or microparticles. The goal is to find the best way to administer active substances, both to satisfy pharmacological needs(more activity, stability of active substance, modified or site specific release,…) and to improve the patients’ “compliance” .
Each project follows a rational approach. The formulation is chosen taking the chemical-physical characteristics of active substances and the purpose of the drug into consideration..
The characteristic of the different active substances (little molecules, peptides or proteins) are analyzed and managed with competence.
The researchers, who deal with formulation development, work in countinuous cooperation with production departments, to optimize scale-up for cGMP production of industrial and clinical validation batches (pilot plant for IMP)
